A GUIDE TO THE
CARE & CLEANING OF NATURAL STONE

Clean Marble After Use

Natural stone tops are surprisingly resilient to stains and scratches. However, as a preventative measure, any spills on stone surfaces should be wiped up within a reasonable amount of time.

Only Use Marble Cleaners

When cleaning marble, only use cleaners specifically designed for marble with a soft cloth. Common household cleaners can have harsh acids or alkalis that could etch or dull your marble surface.

Watch Out for Acids

Be very careful with acids around our marble. Acids will etch your marble in a matter of seconds if allowed to come in contact with your marble surface.

Apply a Marble Sealer

Applying a marble sealer will make marble care so much easier, and will help prevent stains. Your stone was sealed at the factory, but reapplication is necessary over time. How often is determined by the quality of sealer used and the frequency of use. We recommend using a penetrating sealer for bath areas, as a food-safe sealer is typically not necessary.

Larger scratches, chips, and resilient stains may require professional help. Please contact your local stonemason for details

Apply Mild Soap With A Soft Cloth

Keeping your bathroom vanities clean is deceptively important. It not only keeps your bathrooms sanitary, but also prolongs the durability of your vanity since the chemicals you use in the bathroom can permeate the surface of your vanity.

Our vanity is finished with 7 layer of DURA laquer and semi-glass finished, so it is should be easy to remove any stain or water marks. Use mild-soap and a soft cloth for the surface of the cabinet, and gently scrub surfaces. Wipe down the vanity with a dry cloth or paper towel. Make sure all surfaces are dry.
